When December comes around you start looking at those seasonal recipes for cooking to get you in the festive mood, the same should apply for the drinks you are making. Sweet spices such as Ginger and Cinnamon are often associated with this time of year and the Apple Pie on The Rocks holds al those great flavours and packs them in a light but brilliant drink.
The combination of the light nature of Apple juice goes well with the spicy strong taste of Fireball/Cinnamon Whiskey along with a bit of Vanilla Vodka to add to the taste spectrum that it has going on. The Brown Sugar and Cinnamon rim also make the seasonal spirit of this cocktail that much stronger as well as making it look the part.
Nothing kicks off Winter well like a light refreshing but stand out cocktail. This is defiantly one to try on the lead up to Christmas.
Here is how it is made.
Ingredients
1 oz. (30ml) Vanilla Vodka
1 oz. (30ml) Fireball Whiskey
3 oz. (90ml) Apple Juice
Rim : Brown Sugar and Cinnamon mix
Garnish : Cinnamon Stick
Preparation
Rim a rocks glass with a mix of Brown Sugar and Cinnamon.
Add ice to a shaker and add in all ingredients.
Shake well till chilled and pour into your glass over ice.
Garnish with a Cinnamon stick.
