Spritz cocktails are very popular year round, but especially in the Summer months you see more of them about. One of the most popular of course is the classic Aperol Spritz which has it's own unique fruity flavour that people love. But there are so many different ways you can take a Spritz cocktail as its only real requirement is the inclusion of a Spirit and Prosecco/Champaign. This original recipe by us takes things in a traditional Summer direction of Rum and dry fruity goodness.
Dead Mans Finger Passion Fruit Rum is the highlight here with its sweet tropical flavours and slight hint of Mango. Rum is traditionally mixed with fruit juices in cocktails, but there is something about the dry carbonation of Prosecco and floral notes of Elderflower liqueur that compliment it so well. There are so many other flavoured Rums out there that would take this recipe to all kinds of great places as well, so it's worth playing about with.
Is this a drink for a casual night in or a party ? Well we believe it can easily fit in at both occasions. So if you are a Spritz fan looking for something new and adventurous, we think the Dead Passion Spritz is your next one to try.
